About Coaching: Scope of the Engagement
Coaching from Applied Finance Research is education. Sessions teach how our monthly asset allocation systems work, how to design, customize, backtest, and execute a configuration, and the process and mindset behind disciplined systematic investing. The instruction is general and applies to systematic investing broadly. It is intended to help you build the knowledge and skills to make your own informed decisions.
Coaching is not personalized investment advice. It does not include recommendations tailored to your individual financial situation, needs, or objectives. We will not tell you which specific securities to buy or sell, how to allocate your particular accounts, or when to trade your own money, and we do not manage, monitor, or take discretion over your assets.
Coaching does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship. In providing coaching, Applied Finance Research and Bill Scheidt are educators and are not acting as a registered investment adviser. Bill Scheidt is a former co-owner of a registered investment adviser firm and is not currently registered or acting in that capacity. No advisory, fiduciary, or brokerage relationship is created by participating in coaching.
Any reference to the configurations we trade is illustrative. When we discuss the specific systems or parameters we use in our own accounts, we share them as one real example of the principles applied, not as a recommendation for you. Your objectives, risk tolerance, and circumstances differ from ours.
You are responsible for your own decisions. You are solely responsible for your trading and investing results. For advice tailored to your personal circumstances, consult a licensed investment, tax, or legal professional, or a registered investment adviser.
